I will switch the cone filter I use between paper and metal mesh filters for my drip coffee sometimes depending on the acidity level of the coffee beans I am brewing. I typically like the high acidity but if I will be drinking a high volume of coffee past one or two cups, I will try to reduce the overall acidity level of the coffee I consume in various ways, one is to use a paper filter when brewing.
